AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Make sure to wash your hands before applying the lotions! It’s rare but when someone gets an infection, it’s mostly because they touched the tattooed area without sanitizing their hands.

    1. Take off the bandage 5 hours after tattooing. Wash carefully with warm water and anti-bacterial soap (or regular soap). Don’t cover the tattoo with saran wrap or any bandage again.

    2. The skin will discharge some blood and fluid. It could form a scab that will damage our tattoo so you have to constantly make your skin dry with a clean towel or a paper towel.

    3. If you feel sore and itchy, apply lotion to the tattooed area in a thin layer once or twice a day.

    1. When your skin stops discharging any fluid, apply a thin layer of lotion to prevent the skin from getting too dry. Apply as needed.

    2. After a week, the skin will begin forming a scab. Do not scratch or pick at it.

    3. During the healing process, you may see dry skin flake off. This is normal and will eventually clear up. Continue keeping the area clean and moisturized.

  • Tanning or exposure to direct sunlight will slowly damage your skin and tattoo. Always try to cover it or apply sunscreen when outside.

    • Alcohol intake within 24 hours

    • Swimming/soaking in the pool, ocean or bodies of water, nor baths (showers are fine)

    • Intensive exercise or stretching

    • Direct sunlight or tanning on the tattooed area.

    • Pet touching the in the tattooed area

    • Tight clothing that restricts movement on the tattooed area

    • Picking or scratching the scabs of the tattooed area

    • Gardening

  • It is recommended to use an unscented anti-bacterial soap and lotion for the duration of the healing process of your tattoo.
